Yessica Sargent
MFTI
Hi, I’m Yessica Sergeant, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and I’m currently completing a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Trauma Informed Systemic Therapy at National University.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
I also provide therapy in both English and Spanish, making counseling accessible to a broader community.
Before joining Dr. Christy Kane LLC, I worked as a Home Visitor, where I partnered with families to offer evidence-based parenting education, supported early childhood development, and connected families to local resources.
My experience working with parents and young children has given me a deep understanding of family dynamics, early intervention, and nurturing healthy relationships.
I’m a mother of two—a teenage son and a daughter—and my own family life fuels my commitment to helping others build stronger, healthier connections. In my free time, I love cooking, gardening, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your path to healing and growth. Whether you’re navigating family challenges, relationship issues, or personal struggles, I am here to help you find the solutions that work best for you.
